Please ignore the grim visage – got a crappy cold and still haven't come to terms with the fact that Fudge is gone… But before I start drowning in self-pity lets focus on ’le dress’, which can be summed up in one word: Pretty. My head fills with dreams of summer picnics on English greens, romantic outings and royal weddings... You could even wear it the right way round, so people could see the cute bow – but I fear this might be a tiny bit too Doris Day for me.
I think everyone had a great time styling the dotty dress. So go and check out Jen, Sarah, MJ, Sherin, Vicki, Ellie, Paula and Harriet. And because Adele is travelling Susie of TakeOutInCouture was so kind to step in.
dress: c/o peacocks, hat: from shop in arezzo/ italy, silk shirt: rag & bone, belt: 2nd hand, shoes: russell & bromley

This looks so lovely on you! I decided to wear mine backwards too (also to avoid the otherwise major Doris Day vibe! So great minds think alike!) I love the addition of the sweater, belt, and hat--such a cute outfit for spring!
I love your Doris Day part.
Lovely photos, Sabine

Oh I think this is my favourite so far, I love the softer styling and I particularly love the hat.
Hope you are doing okay, give yourself time to grieve xx
I freakin love this dress! You look fabulous in it! I know it's not your style but man you look awesome. I just might have to buy that dress.
I LOVE how you've worn it, especially backwards, the bow actually looks lovely at the back :) x
Hope everything is ok!
I was a huge fan of this dress. It was so prety: perfect for a summer picnic. Love how you wore it backwards. It definitely looks better like that.
this dress is fabulous on you - love the way you styled & photographed it!
This is a lovely dress. Prefect for the summer and summery events. Hope you are feeling happier soon. Xxxx
Can I say I really love how you've styled the dress?
It looks almost like a different dress altogether, there's a much more exotic traveller-type edge to the way you've worn it, so different from the English-Rose-Tea-and-Cake image it has on its own.
that dress is so cute, and i really like how you wore it, wonderful photos!
hope you're doing ok lovely
xx
This has got to be one of my favorite from the Take 10 so far :)

Would never have thought of wearing it back to front but it looks cool. Love the shirt and hat with it. xx
That dress is so pretty. I love the bow in the back.
i think the dress is looking fab the wrong way round. im sure a bit of doris day is ok once in a while haha
Bow Dream Nation xx
the dress is so sexy on you. love both versions - with belted shirt and hat as well as without. the colour is perfect for your skin tone and i love the belt the "wrong" way round - surprising and a little ironic.
you know, i really think a lot of you and fudge. to me a pet is a full family member. and the fact that you're still mourning makes you so human and likeable!
the dress looks great on you and the background of the photos are amazing
I adore these photos and how you did the light. I think you styled it the best for this one. You look amazing.
Doris Day...ha ha ha, that made me laugh out loud.
I'm not a big fan of Peacocks simply because they need to revamp their design portfolio in order to compete with Matalan and Primark in that price segment of the value sector.
But, having said that, once in a while they come up with some good designs like this dress.
I really like it with the hat and braid. Very Anne of Green Gables. Not everyone could pull that look off!
I hope you'll be feeling better soon! A cold seems so wrong this time of year. Bah.
I love how you always think outside the box in these little stylin challenges, got my vote
Have a great weekend lady
Sleekit x
ha, it is quite doris day isn't it. i hadn't thought that until i read that - you are so right! nonetheless, i love the overall look of these pictures and you still made the dress your own.
So pretty. Love the pictures and love the backward bow!

I LOVE YOUR DRESS! IT LOOKS SO GREAT ON YOU!
and your shots, as always, are so great! love the colors, composition, etc. LOVE!
hang in there girl, and i hope you have a nice weekend. :)
I love how you've styled it with the belt and white shirt - looks so elegant and I love the sepia tones of the picture. Beautiful work. I hope you are feeling better. xx
Sorry you're still not feeling well. :( Hopefully it'll start getting easier soon. <3
I love that you wore the dress backwards- it's good to know I'm not the only person who does that sometimes!
I am so in love with this look sabine, you look beautiful. I'm reminded of old paintings (Seurat?) of ladies boating on the river with their beaus. And I think I like it better back to front xxx
oh sabine, it looks great! almost like an old western film kinda country charm to it :) xx
love these pic, you look gorgeous, that dress is super pretty too

Oh Sabine I didn't realise you're back posting! I'm glad - and still sad for you about Fudge. And I love this dress. This is the exact kind of dress I can't wear: all the more reason that I love it. I actually have one similar - H&M - except almost strapless, with tiny spaghetti straps. And I still can't wear it.
So I love the way you styled it, and all the others - is that Paula who wore it with a tee? And I love the bow on the back. And the photography.
Hope to see you soon. xx
Just perfect on U!

This dress is so gorgeous- love the polka dots and pleats! I think I would wear it with the bow in front because I'm just girly like that =)
star-crossed smile
You look gorgeous in it. It reminds me of the dress Julia Roberts wore to the polo match in pretty woman. Beautiful! And again I am so sorry about Fudge - it's so hard losing part of ones family. xo
Beautiful dress, beautiful hat, beautiful polo, belt and background. :) You always perfect this kind of shoot, very cute! :)
Are you OK, on the mend? Worried you havent posted for a while. Xxxx
I think this is my favorite Take 10piece so far! It looks lovely and lady like on everyone! And it's flattering on all shappes and sizes!
Hi my dear-it does look fabulous on you, the style, cut and print are just perfect for summer days, really lovely indeed xx
You look lovely, what a versatile piece. Brilliant for summer! x
Wearing it backwards works so well. The pleating falls beautifully because of the fabric
i love that you wore it backwards :)

I just love that dress Sabine! And your hair and hat work perfectly with it.

very ladylike, but I think you should take up the hemline, up up!
What a great piece! It's like the perfect tea dress, but I'm glad you left the bow on the back. I think that would be overkill otherwise. Hope you're enjoying the great weather we have!
P.S. And I'm definitely up for lunch at The Wapping Project if you ever have time!
this sdress is absolutly adorable--- love it.
